A New Chapter

Gloria in Excelsis Deo!

It seems that the book of life is always presenting us with a new chapter to experience. Whether we expect it or not, we must remain open to these changes. Sometimes these changes appear more suddenly, and sometimes more gradually. Whatever the case, the approach or posture towards the change must remain the same—one of openness, surrender, and positivity. By positivity, I refer to an attitude towards life. Understanding that whatever happens or whatever life brings us is always for our benefit. Our growth. Our learning. Or a greater opportunity to contribute and love.

Personally, I’m in the process of going through some radical changes. It’s one of the periods of my life where things have been shifting to a degree and with a speed that is beyond any former experience. To be honest, I’ve never felt more alive. It’s as if life has been preparing me for this moment, and I’m doing my small part in going along for the ride.

It’s akin to what is traditionally referred to as “renunciation.” All attachments must be let go of. Many externalities change forms. It is one profound inner shift after another. In the process of renunciation you say, “I’m not that,” “I’m not that,” “I’m not that,” until nothing else remains other than nothingness. You then open yourself for the revelation of Awareness as the source of your own existence. This may seem esoteric, but when you have the firsthand experience it becomes Self-explanatory.
