Love

Gloria in Excelsis Deo!

Divine Love is unmistakable. It is like the heart of the sun. It is infinite, exquisite, ineffable. It is simultaneously all-pervadingly gentle and all-powerful. One glimpse and your life can never be the same. The closest most of us come is human love. The love of mammals originated between the mother and her offspring. Unconditional love is shown between parent and child. If we are lucky enough to have received it in childhood, this love gives us a hint. Later, we may fall in love with a significant other. The desire towards them is not love, but sometimes deep caring and sincere affection are sparked as “true love,” which is a form of love. We practice giving love to other humans, and receiving it too. Until one day, when we least expect it, we are greeted with a Higher Love.

The glimpse of Divine Love is a gift made possible through dedicating ourselves to become the best, most loving, most kind people that we can be. We become witness to the beauty of all life unfolding in front of us. We become students of life. As we graduate into subsequent levels of life’s school, we are ultimately “touched by the angels” who reaffirm our faith in the commitment to the path of Love itself.
